About Myself
Why I Started This Blog
I also really enjoy fashion - along with other art, like music, drawing, crafts, theater... - but, like Sarah, I never felt confident enough to dress in the clothes that I really wanted to, mostly because I was afraid of what people would think of me. I think this stems from my belief that style can be a reflection of personality, and I was afraid of people not liking my personality. I figured it was really just better to keep it to myself. However, over the last year or two, I decided that there's no good in not being myself, and plenty of good in being myself, including the way that I dress. I think I'm really starting to find my own style now, but I'm not quite sure if I'm there yet, and I'd like to share my "style discovery" and anything else that interests or inspires me with other people.. :)
Another reason I'm starting the blog, is to be the voice of the cheap! ...Okay, but really, I noticed that there are a lot of bloggers who say that they're cheap and that they buy inexpensive and affordable clothing, but the prices are still outrageous to me. I don't have a job at the moment, and when I do I'll be making minimum wage and putting most of my money into savings, so I really haven't got the money to toss out for an $80 shirt...and I know I'm not the only one! So I'd like to share where I get my cheaper clothing, for those of you who are in the same boat as I am.
Also, as she mentioned, Sarah Beth and I have been friends for years, and we're both going to different colleges in the fall. Since we were both interested in starting a blog, we thought it'd be a good idea to start one together, as it will be a good way to ensure that we keep in touch!
What to Expect
Well, you can definitely expect some outfit posts! I'd like to share with you what I wear and how I develop my personal style, as well as where I shop - because I am really cheap, and I'd like to speak for those of us with small wallets. In the future, I will try to include the prices (that I can remember) of the items, as well as where I bought them, so that anyone as frugal as me can have an idea of how much I spend.
I also plan to share things that I find inspiring and interesting. That doesn't necessarily mean fashion, so don't think this is just a fashion blog! I am more about personal style than I am about fashion in general (although I do enjoy it) and I'd like to share things that reflect my personal style in other ways. This could mean artwork that I find around the internet, music that I enjoy, photography... or anything, really!
I'd also like to point out that I too have a very standard, cheap camera. I hope to get a nicer one in the future, but it could be a while, so please bear with the quality of our photos. I'm also not a whiz with Photoshop, either...but I may be enlisting the help of my boyfriend sooner or later, so the photos may look somewhat better in the near future! And, hopefully, I'll find somewhere better to photograph, so my neighbors won't be shooting my weird looks, haha.

About Myself
- I'm nearly 18 (on January 18th! It's my golden birthday, or so I've been told...), and I just graduated high school a couple of weeks ago. I graduated a semester early, so I could get a job and save some money for a car.
- I really love reading about my "animal of the moment" - right now, it's all about elephants! Did you know that elephants are part of the small group of mammals that can recognize their own reflections? If not, now you do!
- Like Sarah Beth, I am also in love with Disney. Really, I just love animated movies in general. I don't know if it has to do with childhood nostalgia or if it's the vibrant colors or what, really... I just love them!
- Unlike Sarah Beth, I have seen U2 in concert, but (although they were quite good)they aren't my favorite band! I actually went to their concert because Muse was the opening act, and they're my absolute favorite! I also had the opportunity to see them again during their Resistance Tour, and it was amaaaazing! I'm very open-minded when it comes to musical tastes, and I'd like to say that I enjoy a little of everything. :)
- I have 2 cats, 2 dogs and a boyfriend - and I love them all very much (my boyfriend the most)!
